President's Choice Award
At The Prestigious International Hope Book Awards (PIHBA), the President’s Choice Award is a distinguished honor reserved for authors whose impact extends beyond the written page.
This recognition celebrates not only exceptional storytelling, but the way an author consistently lives, embodies, and shares the message of hope through their character, conduct, and influence.
Only one author is selected each month.
Authors do not need to submit repeatedly.
To be eligible for consideration, authors must submit once to the President’s Choice Award category and also submit a standard category of their choice. Once this initial submission is complete, no further submissions are required for continued consideration.
From that point forward, the President observes with care and discernment, looking beyond the pages of a book to recognize authors who uplift others, demonstrate integrity, and consistently inspire hope through their words, actions, and presence within the literary and global community.
The President’s Choice Award is granted only when an author genuinely stands out in both character and impact. It is not awarded based on frequency of submission, popularity, or promotion, but on authenticity, consistency, and the lived values reflected in one’s work and life.
We warmly encourage all authors to submit their standard category of choice with confidence. Those whose work and conduct align with the heart and mission of the Hope Awards may, in time, be considered for this exceptional distinction.

As a multi-award-winning author herself, Johanna knows intimately the power a story can carry — the power to restore, to comfort, and to remind us that even in the darkest chapters, hope is never lost.
She is also the creator and host of the beloved YouTube Podcast “Give Me Hope with Johanna,” where she shares messages of encouragement, life wisdom, and spiritual insight with viewers around the world. With a warm presence and a deep understanding of the human journey, she has built a space where people can breathe again, find strength, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. Johanna’s lifelong mission is rooted in compassion, faith, and the belief that "Everyone has a story worth telling — and a story worth honoring." She created these awards because she believe that hope is not just an emotion — it is a lifeline. Stories have the power to guide us through grief, rebuild us after trauma, strengthen our faith, and remind us that no matter what we face, we are never alone.
Every category in this awards program reflects a different pathway of hope: survival, healing, faith, renewal, cultural strength, inspirational truth, and the courage to keep going. She want authors to know that their work matters — deeply. She want readers to discover books that will change their lives.
Her vision is to build an international community of authors and readers brought together through the universal language of Hope. Through Recognition, Encouragement, and Celebration, we plant the seeds that will grow into Healing future generations.
HER MISSION
As CEO, author, creative visionary, and host, her mission is: To shine a light on inspirational voices,
whose books bring emotional or spiritual renewal.
To honor authors who write from the heart, turning pain into purpose.
To build a global platform where hope-filled literature is celebrated with dignity and excellence.
To use her voice, her platform, and her gifts to uplift others and remind them of their worth.
To create an atmosphere of compassion, truth, and transformation through every book, every message, and every author we acknowledge.
Through God’s grace and the strength of her own journey through the loss of her entire direct family, including her Mother, Father, three sisters and one brother before her forty sixth birthday.
She has learned that HOPE is the most powerful thing we can give another human being.
