Does paying the entry fee guarantee a win?

No. Payment does not guarantee a win, finalist placement, nomination, or recognition. All entries are judged based on merit, category criteria, and overall impact.


Are entry fees refundable if I don’t win?

No. All entry fees are non-refundable.
Payment is made for review and consideration, not for a guaranteed award outcome.


Can I request a refund, chargeback, or dispute if I don’t win?

No. By submitting and completing payment, entrants agree that all fees are final and non-refundable. Chargebacks or disputes violate the submission agreement.

How are books judged?

Books are evaluated based on category-specific criteria, which may include message impact, originality, writing quality, emotional depth, faith or hope alignment (when applicable), and overall contribution to readers.


Who are the judges?

Judges are selected for their professional experience, integrity, and alignment with PIHBA’s mission. Judges operate under ethical guidelines to ensure fairness and confidentiality.


Can one book win more than one category?

Yes. Authors may submit the same book to multiple categories, each requiring a separate entry fee. Each category is judged independently.


Winners & Recognition

What do winners receive?

All winners receive:

  • Official winner recognition

  • A digital certificate

  • An official PIHBA winner seal

  • Website and social media recognition

Additional recognition may vary depending on category or award level entry.


Is there an awards gala?

Yes. PIHBA hosts an official awards gala where winners are celebrated in person. The gala is a formal recognition event featuring on-stage presentations, professional photography, networking, and celebration.


Trophy Policy

Does every winner receive a physical trophy automatically?

No. Physical trophies are not automatically included with winning a category entry of $69. 


How much does the official PIHBA trophy cost to produce?

Each PIHBA crystal trophy is custom-made and costs approximately $250 to produce.


When is the trophy included?

The official PIHBA crystal trophy is included with paid gala attendance and presented on stage during the awards ceremony.


What if I cannot attend the gala?

Winners who are unable to attend the gala may request to purchase the official PIHBA trophy separately, subject to availability. This option is reserved exclusively for confirmed winners.


Can anyone purchase a PIHBA trophy?

No. Trophies are never sold to the public and are only available to confirmed PIHBA winners.


Why is the trophy not included for everyone automatically?

To preserve the prestige of the awards and to cover production costs responsibly. Including the trophy only with gala attendance or optional purchase ensures sustainability, fairness, and long-term growth of the awards.

Is attending the gala required to win?

No. Gala attendance is optional, but it is the primary and most celebrated way to receive the physical trophy and experience the awards presentation.

Gala tickets typically include:
